All Saints is a 14th Century Grade II Listed Building. This tiny church, which is only 55 feet long, is filled with 17th Century stone memorials of Elizabethans such as Mary Plomer, who holds an effigy of a chrisom baby in her arms. Mary died in 1605 at the age of 30 after giving birth to her eleventh child. Poems inscribed on Mary’s memorial and the memorial of Ann Plomer, who died in 1625, reflect both a deep grief and a deep faith which enhances the sense of sacred history to be found in this special place.
